Big rhythms and lush vocals bring good vibes and soulful refrains, as MR. RICHY and Zinah deliver the evocative depth and reggae-style afrobeat vibrancy of Hustle.
From the 2026 EP Love and Hustle, MR. RICHY’s Hustle is an addictively smooth and catchy highlight, with an inspiring and motional chorus that’s harmonised to a perfectly immersive degree, but verses that reflect with a little more complexity and nuance in the lead up. That balance is key, something of meaning dressed kindly as an upbeat and uplifting festival jam.
Hustle feels like an anthem for the summertime and an anthem for togetherness and work-ethic all at once. We move from nearly spoken vocals to soulfully sung ones, with a huge chorus crescendo of voices at the peak, and there’s even a new vocal introduced during the final third, adding all the more dynamic to an additively likeably afrobeat single.
Driving rhythms, catchy guitar riffs, plenty of space but also a consistency from the vocal layers that lets you feel fully connected. Noting influences amidst the likes of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido and Shatta Wale, MR. RICHY showcases the best of his evocative and stylish intentions with Hustle, but the Love and Hustle EP in full proves defiantly one worth streaming this season.
