Roar Roar Nuggets & Pleasant Problem Nobody Follows

-

Raw indie guitar grooves and catchy hooks, old-school stylistics and unwavering versatility grounded by a strong essence of melody and movement… Creative guitar composition brings forth the lifelong passion and precision of guitarist and songwriter Roar Roar Nuggets.

Having spent his youth touring with an independent band on the cusp of mass mainstream success (Pleasant Problem), Roar Roar Nuggets later turned towards pro fighting and working as a boar hunting guide, but playing guitar remained a key part of his life.

This year, Roar Roar Nuggets returns to showcase the solo charm and playful, provocative, immersive jams of his repertoire, and the brilliant alt-rock and punk anthem Nobody Follows is an absolute earworm of an introduction.

Ron Ritter is the virtuoso guitarist, composer, performer and guitar tech and teacher behind all things Roar Roar Nuggets. His original solo singles include the likes of the darker and dramatic alt-rock groove Weeee Ahhh, an instrumental and atmospheric guitar-led track with an after-party stomp of a groove and a certain soulful meandering to the melody.

Still noting tens of thousands of streams on iconic indie pop-punk tracks and videos like Krooked & Skewed, Roar Roar Nuggets’ collective repertoire remains a timeless go-to for modern music fans seeking that authenticity, energy and skill so much of generated pop seems to drastically forego.

Consider also the chaotic and colourful jam When We Were Kids – a nostalgic injection that’s unignorably catchy, vibrant, and cleverly relatable and relevant for its appreciation of times past.

Having previously graced the stages of iconic venues and events like Warped Tour, Ron Ritter has earned his place within the long-time catalogues of rock, first picking up a guitar in the third grade and essentially refusing to put it down from there on in.

His work over the years has included providing craft services and production jobs for major artists in LA, with Usher and Will Smith amongst those in his connection list. However, writing and performing was always quietly calling back to him, ever since Pleasant Problem called it a day.

This year, Roar Roar Nuggets puts an end to the wait, presenting a handful of solo singles and redirecting fans towards the still relevant punk rock vibrancy and classics of his old band. The latest release Nobody Follows is a collaborative reunion of sorts, and as such, it’s an instant gem of an indie rock alternative hit, both catchy and creatively fresh, to help reignite the scene’s passion for real and live music.

Stream The Dog That Stank Riff and My Elevator Song for more soaring instrumentals with that grit, soul and atmospheric balance to really take you somewhere evocative and bold. The latter is a piano-led twist of guitar jazz that’s sultry and versatile; a great way to mix things up, and a lasting reminder of the esteemed musical skill and diversity of Roar Roar Nuggets.

The response has been immense, but the music deserves more. Stream the tracks now on YouTube & Spotify.
