LA songwriters Random Parts return this season with a pop-rock ballad soaked in the rising brightness and nostalgia of a timeless classic.
Tipping its hat to the likes of Nickelback’s Photograph, showcasing a catchy melodic progression and deeply personal lyrics – the inherent longing of which is reflected in the naturally raspy, expressive nature of the vocal – Take Me Back leads with the genuine warmth of the rock-ballad genre. It also confidently reminds us of the musical prowess of Random Parts, and indeed of their contemplative writing style.
Featuring an equally professional video, the release secures the band’s sound as somewhere cleanly mixed between the pop and rock realms. The performance is gorgeous, passionately captured, and the production allows the emotive embrace of the music to really work its magic at volume.
