Appealing from the outset thanks to the comfort of the progression and the immersive delicacy of the arrangement, we then see a level of space and minimalism for the verse, as a breathy and soulful vocal meanders through to guide us along. With all of this, the completed piece consistently connects.
I Wanna Be With U is every bit the love song its title implies, but with this comes a refreshing air of identity and honesty in both the writing and the musicality. Mikarlo has an individual style, blending dance-pop qualities with a more RnB and soul-kissed vocal outpouring. The result is something with a unique edge but a familiar thus broadly engaging aura.
A gorgeous single, all at once intimate and vastly cinematic in design. Superb production really allows the natural strengths of the song and the delivery to stand tall. Hopefully there’s plenty more music where this came from.
