Conceptually intriguing from the outset for the familiar AI spoken vocal tone and the relentlessly honest, personal outpouring that is Intro (like i dont know) – Last Tiz proceeds to weave melodic ambiances and heartfelt intentions, throughout a refreshingly genuine, fearlessly open and aptly titled temporary feelings.
I go introduces the musicality first and foremost, layers of organic guitar and trap rhythms united, a distant vocal in line with the contemporary emo-rap scene, lyrics that further the diary-style grit and angst and longing of the introduction.
Melodies stand tall, as does the drop in of rhythm for an energising hit of true escapism. And these qualities run throughout the eight-track EP.
already knew it raises the pulse, the pace increases, the rhythm and guitar sound feels infectious and lights up the room in contrast with the uncertainty and ache of the lyrics.
By now, Last Tiz has a voice that’s recognizable, and the musicality of the EP is undoubtedly on par with the current meandering pop-punk and emo scenes. The playlist makes for an easy go-to whenever the world gets a little noisy and uncaring.
