JUBILEE - Peaches - Stereo Stickman

JUBILEE Peaches

-

JUBILEE is an artist, singer and entrepreneur with a uniquely soulful creative drive, and it shines beautifully on this latest single.

Peaches takes the form of a classic trip hop single in many ways, igniting nostalgic connections to the likes of Portishead and Zero 7. The further along it moves though, the more it begins to pave its own way entirely – the more details and intricacies you pick up on that effectively paint a new kind of picture.

For starters, the beat here is brilliantly unusual, slightly tribal in natural, surprisingly spacious yet also intermittently surrounded by various synths and audio moments that help make it a fantastically dreamlike audio experience.

Then you get the leading vocal, this mellow, soulful and deeply emotional driving force, that smoothly weaves its way through the mix with these poetic and personal references – never bringing the volume too high so as to take anything away from the calming aura of the soundscape, but adding just enough subtle energy and passion to really reach out with humanity.

The louder you let the whole thing play, the further into it you fall, the more enjoyable it becomes – and the more you appreciate how gorgeously creative it really is.

I’m a fan. Hopefully there’s plenty more music to come.
