These two factors alone set the bar exceedingly well for this project, and as mentioned, Jonah Connock’s interesting voice, his colourful and rhythmic, engaging folk guitar playing, the electric sound and softness combined, along with his fascinating stories and gorgeous melodic shifts, all more than live up to these high expectations.
Settle into this one for the evening – lightly reverb-kissed electric guitar, inviting and warm, akin to the kind of playing delivered by Jeff Buckley or James Bay, but a voice and songwriting style that’s a little more distinctly indie-band-like and engaging for its originality.
