ELLA - LUKA - Stereo Stickman

Timeless disco and modern dance unite for this funk-kissed ode to romantic attraction. ELLA delivers a floor-filler with more than a few creative twists of appeal, for LUKA.

Building up from its nostalgic house groove throughout layers of guitars and even a full horn section for that organic band energy, LUKA features a plethora of quirky yet well-placed musical traits, and employs a humble, simplistic vocal-line that again reinforces the yesteryear dance flavours.

Released on Universal Flow Records, LUKA introduces humble dashes of strings and details throughout its easy pop lifespan of three minutes forty. The bassline is heavy and retro, the panning and intricacies of the set-up precise and purposeful in elevating the optimism of the soundscape.

The whole thing captures a live scene presence for its musicality and consistency of mood, and at the same time seems particularly well-placed for the reemergence of twenty-year-old hits like Murder On The Dance Floor.

An impressive track from ELLA, creatively on point from start to finish for its nuanced switches in instrumentation, but also likably simple and distinctive in connecting and making itself naturally memorable.
