It’s a brilliantly addressed topic, the genuine belief that an allergy might disappear over time, the consideration of a dog instead, and all the while, the set-up and chorus of the track underline Eddie’s divine abilities as a modern songwriter.
Despite the playful imagery and implied ideas, this song actually reflects a much deeper sense of self-acceptance in the end – it’s about understanding the things you can’t change about yourself, instead of constantly grappling with them throughout your life.
