The Law Of The Jungle is every bit as fiercely intense as the genre was back in the day, but also skilfully balances that with the haunting melodies and vocal fragments utilised throughout the four-minute mix.
Leading with a clear passion for the genre, DJ Xylo has built this track around his own desire to escape into the high energy grip of Drum and Bass. He’s also done so with an intricate and skilful approach to carving out each individual layer in contribution to the final piece. Things even fall away for a mellow to tribal redirection during the final fifth.
Every component is subtle but effective, delivering a dirty bassline and beat combo loaded with distortion, but also employing plenty of space and distance around that. Then there’s the accompanying visuals – everything you’d hope for and more from a track entitled The Law Of The Jungle.
