Letting creativity take the wheel, producer and artist 2heart2crash presents an 8-track album of entirely unexpected, colourful and compelling original works, for the simply named but complexly crafted 22.

Beginning with Acid, 2heart2crash presents a kind of quirky fusion of catchy synth riffs, lo-fi reverb downpours, fragmented vocals, and old-school programmed rhythms. The project in full appears to blend aspects of this kind of alternative synth-pop throughout, with added elements of new wave and post-punk expression and songwriting all playfully woven in.

Consider the following track Bad Guy, as we get another upfront and boldly mixed riff, but a new vocal lead, something like grunge or dark pop-punk, and an equally dark or melancholic overall mood. Despite the clear genre shift, the style of production and performance – this rise-and-fall dynamic, the sharpness of the riffs and the softness of the beat – all starts to ring loudly as the work of 2heart2crash. For this reason, the 22 project in full is both unorthodox and strangely comforting.
