Storming through for less than two minutes, D.Tech’s No Limitations presents an absolute outpouring of lyricism that sees the artists within barely pause to breathe – holding your attention and building upon the intensity right through to the end.
Despite its short time-span, the track hits hard and makes sure you’ve heard it. The second time you listen, which you will – these lyrics are far too dense for hip hop fans to risk missing a bar – there’s an immediate familiarity to the beat and the flow of the verses; even to the tone of the artist’s voice from the offset. It’s rare to be able to offer that memorable sense of identity in such a short time. D.Tech understands the art form to the point that no further information is needed – this is what it took to express this, the track does everything it needs to, and the subject matter and passion with which it’s delivered leave the listener with a welcomed sense of possibility and drive.
There’s determination and confidence to the whole thing, and as the rhythm and the voices fill the room around you – these qualities effectively pass over. A heavy and brief but impressive new hip hop release. Hopefully there’s more to come.
