Yung Chapp - Polite - Stereo Stickman

Yung Chapp Polite

-

Yung Chapp has crafted an addictively infectious new hit with this latest single.

Blending the immediately joyful simplicity of a spacious, minimalist yet colourful soundscape, with an equally carefree, clean-cut vocal style, Polite kicks into gear with a softly hopeful bounce of good vibes, and it continues to impress unexpectedly throughout its lifespan.

Leading the way with a notably no-fucks-given sort of approach, Yung Chapp makes the most out of the songwriting process – the whole thing is fun, ridiculously catchy, and refreshingly unlike anything else you’re likely to have heard today.

From unique sound design, through a classic, even retro vocal style, to the ultimate return and drop to a memorable, almost comedic yet anthem-like hook, Polite makes itself known with a few well-placed elements alone. The verses welcome in some familiar references, contemporary culture and hip hop working its magic, but Yung Chapp fuses this with a slightly alternative array of mentions, a story of his own, told in a clever, quirky way.

Unavoidably happy, confident, colourful – it’s hard to unhear this once it’s crossed your path, but the whole thing manages to be non-intrusive at the very same time. A job well done. It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes him in the near future.
