Featuring a fairly home-made set-up, a little rustic mix-wise but authentic in being so, Golden Boy speaks volumes on behalf of the confidence and drive of the artist. There’s also a strong sense of rising anticipation and weight as the track progresses – the production leans towards creative sound-play in a refreshing manner.
Reaching the scene with a bright and bold set of visuals to match, Golden Boy introduces a handful of different flows, building up from simple and mellow moments to the outright unity and rhythmic intensity of the hook. The bars impress too, keeping things fresh and offering a story that’s all at once personal and relatable to a broader audience seeking out motivation.
