Countering a high-energy tempo with dreamy beachside vocals and harmonies, Summer’s Almost Gone is both uplifting and beautiful. Cascading layers of guitar present a lightness that’s aptly summer suited, and the pairing of vocals, imagery and the guitar sound offers something like Ocean Color Scene meets Beach Boys, only the song is quick to assert its own sense of character within that.
