The Brilliance Must Admit

-

The Brilliance melt hearts beautifully with their latest single. Emerging complete with a live performance clip, the band showcase an immediately thoughtful and skillful manner of creating instrumental ambiance.

You quickly witness these details that join forces in a clearly intentional, methodical fashion. At the same time, once the leading voice pours through, the vastness of the sound (and indeed the concept, later on) is softened by this notably delicate, accessible and intimate delivery.

Here we get talk of the end of the world, the issues that weigh heavy on the modern mind, and the ultimate resolve to this idea of ‘I must admit’ – that the feeling is mutual. There’s a whole lot of heartache, struggle and even disaster, at the core of the writing. Still the music has an ongoing sense of optimism to it – a joyful acceptance of sadness, a level of movement, a groove, that suggests things will continue regardless; at least for now.

A musically lovely composition, impressive yet also with a few distinctly memorable riffs. Gorgeously performed – a well-named band with an unquestionable display of unity about them. The full album Suite No. 2: World Keeps Spinning is definitely worth experiencing.
