Creatively balancing the soulful and the gritty, this classic yet contemporary fusion of talents, from an ever-elusive The Bandit Semu and producer Kadestrofik, showcases a whole new approach to modern music.

Built around a resounding two-chord synth and rhythm that echoes through the space, Sinderella ultimately follows a bold and expressive leading vocal, through moments of melody and chant alike, as we gather quirky and distinct momentum across two minutes and eighteen seconds of music.

On the sound-design front, Sinderella features the timeless vocal shouts of old school hip hop, and maintains its likable groove with humility and appeal. Vocally, however, the performance ultimately takes precedence. The Bandit Semu begins with an outpouring that feels like the start of a sixties soul sample. However, the artist quickly progresses through much snappier references, along with sharp changes in flow and melody. There’s a valuable degree of structure to the set-up though, and always we return to the recognisable resolve of this title and hook – the repeating and unmistakable sound of Sinderella at its peak.

Backed by a strong groove, The Bandit Semu carves out an unmistakable lane, with the performative flair, fearless passion, and unedited creative flair of Sinderella. It will be interesting to hear where else the music takes The Bandit Semu in the coming months.
