SAVARRE - Scars - Stereo Stickman

SAVARRE Scars

-

Haunting production rises from simple to striking, as creative songwriter SAVARRE explores the value of reflecting on turmoil, for Scars.

Taking its time to gather momentum, Scars begins with ambient intrigue – cinematic production that evolves consistently across over five minutes of expression.

Alongside this minimalist introduction, leading artist and composer Shannon Denise Evans leads us through a poetic and personal journey from struggle to overcoming.

It’s a long-form melodic venture, original by nature and soon offering catchy inflections of riff and resolve as the beat and soundscape fall into view.

Featuring an easy yet effective four-note piano part throughout much of the progression, Scars undoubtedly pays tribute to the timeless artistic possibilities of trip hop and contemporary composition – whilst always maintaining a clear connection to the changing sentiments of the lyrics. As the vocal switches gears, so too does the arrangement, and slowly but surely the listener is swept up in this near-euphoric display of growing passion and musical presence.

Increasingly immersive, provocative and powerful, Scars depicts a fine balance between unpredictable and satisfying, and draws focus to the SAVARRE sound in a memorable way.
