Raymnd - Godspeed & Goodbye - Stereo Stickman

Raymnd Godspeed & Goodbye

-

Lush songwriting and equally ethereal, colourful and consuming production. Raymnd captures a fine sense of escapism and story, with the natural embrace of Godspeed & Goodbye.

Balancing the organic appeal of guitar pop with a boldly synth-led vibe akin to the rise of Stranger Things soundscapes, Godspeed & Goodbye feels aptly inspired by the breakout artist Djo’s End of Beginning, only there’s a softness here to the voice, an ambient and intimate originality, and the production has its own strength entirely, too.

Really well-written, with interesting lyrics reflecting on a familiar topic in a totally fresh and poetic way, Godspeed & Goodbye is loaded with imagery, and feels so poignant in its vocal delicacy that contrasts the weight of ideas and the bombs falling within.

Increasingly catchy and beautifully performed and recorded, Raymnd’s approach here blends the unique and the broadly satisfying, for a sound that’s intimate and euphoric in equal parts. The words are provocative, the melodies catchy, the vocals genuine and evocative, even quirky, and the production is second to none in creating a dynamic space that totally consumes its audience.

That’s a lot of boxes ticked for a brand new song. Enjoy.
