phase trois fazetroy

-

Freshly released from the brand new August EP Lucid, a phonetically explanatory fazetroy showcases the immense creative freedom of the artist and producer in a bold and immersive fashion.

London’s phase trois crafts electronic soundscapes that utilise equal parts familiar and unusual building blocks. In this case, the sudden pace of the echoing rhythm, up-front within the mix and feeling almost like fast fingers on a hand drum, reaches out and quickly grabs attention.

Underneath this, retro synths and warm bass work to create a comforting realm of more relatable tones, and the two sides connect well.

The Lucid EP proves artistically uninhibited throughout. There are characteristics to be found across the phase trois sound – these cascading rhythms and melodies, a touch of other-worldly or sci-fi-esque sound-play, and an intermittent use of drama and calm. Otherwise though, each track promises an entirely new audio journey that’s as captivating as it is hypnotic. You can’t help but fall deeper into the music as it plays.

Featuring industrial details and simplicity intertwined with complexity of concept and design, Lucid and the track faze troy draw focus to a producer making the very most out of the moment. Well worth delving into.
