The UK’s own Mudmoon approaches the scene from a place of vast experience performing with a number of creative ensembles. His latest solo release celebrates a broad scope of influence, as well as a clear breadth of ability and performative flair.

Then there’s the retro-funky production – a kind of eighties stomp of a disco track, with faster rap bars woven in to help add even more dynamic to an already eclectic but rhythmically well-grounded original track.
Noting twenty years immersed in all things music, the humility and colourful creativity of My Time speaks volumes on behalf of Mudmoon’s journey, but at the same time, the song delivers a natural earworm, and a groove that’s uplifting enough to take the edge off in just about any setting.
Simple yet memorable, refusing to adhere to industry expectations, whilst utilising the clear building blocks known to win over a crowd – My Time is self-confident but artistically nostalgic, and brings through a kind of a punk-rap indie-funk realm that lingers indefinitely in the mind.
A little old school, a little contemporary in topic, the timeless comfort of an indie UK vocal lead – something like Audio Bullys with a twist Jamiroquai – of My Time weaves its web in seconds, and proves to be quite fearlessly an amalgamation of various genres and traits, which works brilliantly in its favour.
