Marco Palmieri Multiple Perspectives

-

Established composer and multi-instrumentalist Marco Palmieri continues his creative expansion as a contemporary artist. Noting years of performance experience and backed by two studio albums in the jazz realm, Palmieri’s devotion to composition now sees his music effectively create a uniquely immersive and distinct realm of escapism for modern and classic fans alike. Nowhere does this quality shine more brightly than through the recent fluidity and enchantment of Multiple Perspectives.

Varied again from his last release, Multiple Perspectives effectively presents a fresh sense of groove and contemplation. We’re in a kind of nostalgic trip hop arena of movement and calm, enhanced by these sometimes fragmented and sometimes long-form instrumental meanderings, both distorted and hazy in this setting.

There’s a clear and concise leading riff to the onward stomp of the track, as well as a nostalgic and thick bassline filling up the outer edges. The looping effect is quite hypnotic, but then we get these more unpredictable threads of musicianship, adding that neo-jazz freedom and expression to really bring home the humanity and heart of the arrangement.

Cleverly both characterful and quickly appealing, Multiple Perspectives is a soothing and impressive contemporary look at the soulful simplicity of purposeful music. Coming in at just under six minutes in full, the track makes fine use of the space, proving both humble and confident in its colourful and contemplative instrumental dance.
