Musically uplifting from the outset, with a cleanly mixed, confident vocal that’s rhythmically addictive, Henny & Marley makes fine use of organic musicianship and melody alongside a lyrical outpouring that remains focused and gripping throughout.
Devoted to the climb, weaving in the struggle and uncertainty alongside a clear edge of self-belief and inner strength that motivates, the track has the energy of a pop-hip-hop classic from a simpler time. However, the clarity of the mix, the likeable soundscape of horn riff and bass for additional character, and the hook, all breathes something fresh into the scene.
