Ltronnika - Alien Jungle - Stereo Stickman

Ltronnika Alien Jungle

-

A clear change in direction for alternative producer and artist Ltronnika, Alien Jungle still utilises the nostalgic synths of yesteryear, yet adopts a notably more multi-layered, contemporary manner of sound design as it fills the room.

Emerging complete with implied vocal fragments, details and various washes of synths and keys, the track is as complex as ever with its intertwining of various melodies, yet it also holds close to a distinct rhythmic core. The hypnotic embrace of this consistent, repeating fragment provides a thread that holds the experience together, and meanwhile – these shorter melody lines inject a sense of movement and progression; an illusion, perhaps, but a powerful implication of evolution regardless.

Elsewhere the soundscape does progress in a fascinating way, the latter half seeing the intricacies mutate, new moments appear, with a rising sense of anticipation or energy. The track’s title ultimately seems perfectly appropriate considering the other-worldly vibes combined with this level of vastness and vibrancy.

An intersting twist in creativity, and a refreshing highlight from the Ltronnika catalogue. I look forward to hearing where else the music takes things in the near future.
