Ten original tracks, seamlessly incorporating aspects of old school, Gospel, RnB, and conscious contemporary rap. Jamal G impresses with clarity, dynamic and depth, throughout the heartfelt to anthemic original album Be Kind To Kids From The Ghetto.
We begin with the Faith and motivation of an evocative and inspiring Please Don’t Relapse, a distinct and well-written hip hop track, with a choir-led chorus from Danielle Nichole, and cleanly mixed bars from Jamal G and Reekhavic.
The soulful warmth of this and the sentiments then lead perfectly into the more quirky bounce and story of an equally catchy Days In The West. Here the flow is nostalgic, smooth and simple, the piano-backdrop and the beat adding a clear sense of recognisable creativity, alongside that natural vocal and lyrical strength.

These are the building blocks of much of this project, the music artistically free yet well grounded, and the vocals needing nothing false and no filler to guide with a clear sense of sharp wit and emotional intelligence.
Highlights include the intimate and captivating Pain Of the Loyal, with its subtly anthemic old-school hook, and the acoustic guitar and story-time flair of Closer Than You. The Heroes Saviour is also beautifully contemplative and gripping in its vulnerability and dreamy instrumental calm. A sublime and refreshingly honest lyrical and musical venture, which naturally highlights the integrity and presence of Jamal G as both an artist and thoughtful storyteller.
