Greenbak - Underground Love - Stereo Stickman

Greenbak Underground Love

-

Colourful keys and a classic indie verse vocal light up the space with nostalgia and catchy pop traits united. Greenbak delivers an unexpected anthem of summertime energy and creativity, with the bold and excitable Underground Love.

Openly inspired by the sounds of pop rock and Brit-pop from a simpler era, Greenbak showcases a breadth of influence with this single, but does so by way of a notably humble and enjoyable arrangement. The verses are more intimate, the poetry standing tall throughout, and the hook follows suit lyrically but injects a distinctly high-octane pace and presence from both the rock arrangement and the multi-vocal lead.

The whole thing feels powerfully indicative of a track that would prove a massive hit at live shows. That all-together-now energy is infectious, the celebration ringing loud and reminding us of the brightness and long-days of summer. It’s familiar but not, an interesting take, and a great introduction to Greenbak.
