Sublime Deep House and soulful melodic stylings unite with a powerful euphoric build up – Felix Nova brings character and emotion to modern dance, for Out Of Love.
Impressively riff-led at its peak and also subtly employing hints of distortion and weight intermittently, Felix Nova makes fine use of vocal fragments for that breathy human aspect – rising up into passionate, almost pop-punk like explosions of energy as they build.
Alongside this, the soundscape and presence of Out Of Love increases its grip exponentially it seems. The mid-section of the track is stunning, boldly uplifting as everything that came before suddenly unites in this crescendo of escapism and conceptual longing.
Beautifully crafted, a little retro by nature but also refreshingly original in its use of such a piercingly evocative voice and the softer moments and repeats that make up the completed journey. ‘I’m having these thoughts again’ resounds and echoes with lasting impact, underlying the embrace and utter humanity of the song in unison with the hypnotic comfort of the beat.
Really well put together, a welcomed take on Deep House and hopefully an introduction to a DJ and producer with plenty more creativity in the pipeline.
