Happy Halloween, music fans, and to mark the occasion – a uniquely haunting ambiance, a creative production and distinct, captivating vocal lead, as the ethereal and cinematic darkness of Elegy Rising presents the enchanting new single Nothing Left.
Building from delicate uncertainty through passionate and bold evolutions of voice and set-up, Nothing Left presents a sense of rising energy that’s enthralling. The soundscape gathers momentum immensely, reaching intoxicating peaks as these electronic synths and tribal-like rhythms intertwine and cascade all around you.
Meanwhile, the uniquely recognisable voice of Elegy Rising progresses from intimate and eerie to bold and provocative, almost angst-driven and fearlessly confident, yet at the same time there’s a clear sense of urgency, both lyrically and performatively, which helps this spiralling soundscape and experience become all the more gripping.
Unique from the outset, interesting soon after, then sensational by the time the mid-section rolls through – Nothing Left is an all-consuming reflective space, within which the darkness and isolation of modern times, as well as the haunting implications of Halloween, can feel perfectly in tune with your own headspace.
The creativity of Nothing Left, the evolution from simple voice and percussion to fully cinematic electronic composition is near euphoric, and this track marks a great introduction to the impressively unmistakable stylistics and substance of Elegy Rising.
