Musicality aside for a moment, Rhodez has a uniquely raspy, breathy vocal tone, and a writing style that’s refreshingly honest and emotional. The verses pour through with genuine affection and realness – long-form bars that blend rap and melody in a relevantly contemporary way.
After this, the hook falls into place beautifully, resolving in an addictive way – a trait reinforced by the poetic concept of addiction in the lyrics.
