Emerging complete with a gripping set of visuals, So Easy feels initially familiar for its dance-pop vocal thread and underlying EDM energy, but soon meanders off and away towards unpredictable territories.
The post six-minute journey evolves consistently, shifting gears and changing intensity as the vocals and layers of detail vary immensely to keep things unique.
During the latter half, we find ourselves in a more nineties-like realm of smooth synths, easy rhythms and cleanly-mixed vocals. The backing tone in particular feels quickly recognisable, and from here on in we become submerged in this ethereal arena of sound; still always rooted, however, amidst that initial vocal sound and lyrical premise.
The song So Easy has been entered into the ISC International Songwriting Competition, and subsequently became a semifinalist – the end results are yet to be announced. Stay tuned.
