Buddha Tha God - Run Through - Stereo Stickman

Buddha Tha God Run Through

-

Ambient beginnings and a quietly confident, inspiring vocal lead walk us through the depth and motivational intentions of Run Through.

Buddha Tha God leads well, his tone and his lyrics combined connect in an instant, the delivery tipping its hat to the more impactful, emotive hip hop tracks of the nineties, though in this case we get a crisp, contemporary finish, and a sense of poignancy in terms of modern life.

Run Through is beautifully produced, the finish and the mood offered by that guitar sound quickly set the vibe, prompting you to listen intently, which you do the very second the artist starts to speak.

Not all rappers can hold attention throughout an entire track these days, far from it in fact, but those who can present us with the long-term gems that we proceed to return to time and time again. Run Through is a fine example of an introduction to such an artist.

The track has a timeless quality, speaking to struggle and the individual’s ability and inner strength to overcome. It’s softly inspiring, the passion in the voice working in unison with the emotion of the soundscape, to leave you feeling connected to the concept – and ready to take steps in the right direction.

Beautifully done. The UK itself even gets a special shout-out towards the end. I look forward to checking out the rest of his catalogue.
