Standing tall on the strength of this softly soulful vocal thread and a worthy use of contrast between heavier moments and those that fall back ready for impact, More Than A Feeling brings through a retro meandering bassline and dashes of equally timeless production – the sort that adds a sense of vintage fuzz and funk to proceedings.
Surrounding this, the pop songwriting allows the build-up and drop to the hook to work its magic with ease. To then weave in Beatzo’s summer-ready synth riff for that lighter side of the spectrum, is to complete the circle and ultimately envelop music fans in the experience.
