3mind Blight takes purely the implied definition of the world hell, and effectively weaves around his listener a deeply unsettling journey – one that’s likely to fall quite close to home for some.
Tulsa--Oklahoma--USA
Another step in the right direction for modern rock, and yet another hit of creative individuality and musical realness from DeadEyeChokeHold.
The 3Mind Blight sound is quickly becoming a thing entirely of its own. Uncertainty reigns, but there’s a sense of possibility – a feeling that not knowing isn’t quite as bad as it sometimes seems. ‘It’ll be alright if I live a good life.’
The Wonder EP in full is a joy to have in your life. Rather than a playlist to explore for the sake of the artist, it’s one worth exploring for the sake of you – the music fan.
That voice is one that never grows tiresome – the sort of raspy yet deep & hypnotic vocal you only stumble upon once or twice in a decade. As the lyrics evolve, the performance intensifies & subsequently falls away, and this progression from the lows to the highs & back is what gives the song this snake-like quality as it slowly surrounds you.
Gold Face does well to go his own way and let the beat and the lyricism pour through in a natural fashion. A bold new single in itself – it will be interesting to see where else the music takes him.
3mind Blight toys around with the art-form, with the writing, the effects – the song is partly for all of us, accessible and vague, yet certain moments within the verses take the form of a personal deep-dive into the artist’s own past and his role within this world.
The now unmistakable sound of 3mind Blight offers a hint of classic Eminem-style story-telling with this single Another Life. Another impressive, fascinating and brilliantly produced release from the Oklahoma based artist and songwriter.
It’s been a while since a song like this emerged with nothing but its own raging intensity & fire to capture an audience’s attention & affection. It seems that 2019 could well be a positive turning point for modern music.
There hasn’t been a track yet from this creative that hasn’t fascinated me, or that hasn’t given off a careful fusion of so many elements that you just don’t seem to come across anymore these days. Absolutely a collection worth exploring.
What a track… Soul On Fire introduces the DeadEyeChokeHold sound with a superb fusion of gritty, soulful, hard hitting electronic rock and the songwriting style of a deep thinker.
Absolutely the best of his work to date – a uniquely interesting & addictive track that ticks a whole lot of boxes. The sort of song that speaks out for you or offers so much vulnerability & humanity that you can’t help but connect with it & feel what it portrays within.
