Big vibes blend world music rhythms with reggaetón, Latin pop and catchy hooks, as Bu Aras delivers the anthemic celebration of an album that is Bu, Baby!
Exploding into action with its huge crescendo and chorus of a title-track, Bu, Baby! unites cultures and styles across a catchy dancehall-pop fusion of traits, before smoothly blending into the RnB dance and hip hop tones of a bass-heavy SAHMARAN.
Eclecticism is key, but overall the vocal dynamic from male to female, the stops and starts, the clarity of the modern production tools, all grounds the anthems of Bu, Baby! in a way that’s confidently threaded together. This meeting between the floor-filler world-music energy and the chants, melodies and raps, resounds throughout the album.
Consider, Look Away (Fuck Your Energy), something like dark-pop in its breathy contemplation and ambience, but still with that soca-style groove and the carefully panned dance vibe to elevate the vocals and snappy hook refrains. This track is catchy and distinct – an easily recognisable highlight rom the Bu, Baby! album.

Sixteen tracks in full make up Bu Aras’ album Bu, Baby!, with softer thoughtful moments like SENDEN SONRA KI BEDEN taking the time to slow things down and create a more atmospheric, soulful sense of connection and calm.
Then later, the cinematic power and passion of Senin Gibi is fully immersive, with neo-classical strings and a gospel feel that again brings something completely fresh to the album’s embrace.
Conceptually and creatively, Half Turkish Half Pretend is both provocative and a timeless earworm, and the closing song Gecenin Kalbi is dark-pop electrified, with evocative vocals of long-form expression and that cultural infusion built to bring the dance and depth united throughout its finality and peak.
The remaining tracks are bonus songs, retro and contemporary flavours fusing the final moments of this stylish and distinct collection from Bu Aras, but they still feel like a continuation of its creative bounce and bravado.
The album is exotic, but also confronting, intentional, and memorable. Essentially a colourful meeting between instruments, genres, moods, and moments, and in short – it’s a fine collection of easily accessible, infectious and even addictive reggaetón and Latin pop gems.
