Raava–great to catch up, another huge single racking up streams. Let’s talk BlackOut – when did you come up with this one?
I actually created Black Out during a moment when I was feeling really frustrated and emotionally overwhelmed. I had a lot on my mind, and instead of holding that anger in, I went into the studio and turned it into something powerful. The song came together quickly because the emotion was very real and very fresh. For me, it represents channelling intensity into ambition and creative energy.
Heavy production and intense bass underline an ethereal topline and energised vocals. How did you start building this soundscape?
The sound naturally reflected my mood at the time. I wanted something dark, heavy, and bass- driven to match that intense emotional state, but I also layered atmospheric melodies and airy vocal textures so the track wouldn’t feel negative or defeated. I love contrast in music—powerful drums and deep bass paired with floating, hypnotic elements. It creates a cinematic feeling that pulls listeners into the moment.
There’s also a clear story to these fast bars – what’s the inspiration for the bars of Blackout?
The fast bars were inspired by racing thoughts and determination. When you’re upset or under pressure, your mind moves quickly, and I wanted the delivery to reflect that urgency. Lyrically, it’s about pushing forward, proving your strength, and stepping into your confidence even when emotions are high. It’s the sound of transformation and focus.

What’s your favourite lyric from the central fast verse of Blackout, and why?
My favourite lyric is the moment where I say“I’ma’bout to take that crown,” then hit the ad-lib“crown!” and later repeat“I’ma take that crown!” at the end of the section. That part feels incredibly powerful and cinematic to me.
Vocally, I sound playful and high-pitched—almost cute, like a chipmunk tone—but the message itself is bold, confident, and even a little deadly. That contrast gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. It captures stepping into your power while still keeping a unique personality in the delivery. Ad-libs are also one of my favourite parts of recording because they allow me to experiment with energy and emotion in real time.
The track is just over two minutes in full–was that a conscious decision, or just how and when the process felt complete?
It was intentional in the sense that I wanted the song to feel explosive and replayable. I didn’t want to overextend the idea. Once the emotional peak and energy hit their highest point, the record felt complete. I love creating songs that listeners instantly want to play again.
What’s the fan reaction been like to Blackout?
The response has been really strong. Fans tell me the track makes them feel hyped, confident, and empowered. A lot of people connect with the fast verse and the intensity of the drop. I’ve also seen listeners replaying certain moments online and using the song in edits and performance clips, which is always exciting to see.
Who else are you listening to lately, and does other music and media influence your creativity?
Lately I’ve honestly been listening to a lot of my own music because I’m constantly studying my sound and figuring out how to evolve. At the same time, I draw inspiration from artists like Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Tyler, the Creator, Doja Cat, P!nk, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and Eminem.
I love absorbing different sounds and energies because it keeps my creativity evolving and unpredictable.
Are there any genres you appreciate that don’t obviously align with your style, and would you ever branch out into unknown territory creatively?
I don’t really see genres as limits. I feel like I can experiment with almost any sound if I connect with the emotion behind it. One styleI’mespecially interested in exploring is rock. I love the raw performance energy and dramatic emotion in rock music, and I’d definitely be open to creating a rock-influenced record in the future.

If you could collaborate with anyone at all, past or present, who would you choose, and why?
I would love to collaborate with artists like Eminem, Lil Wayne, P!nk, Travis Scott, or Post Malone. Each of them brings a unique level of originality, emotion, and performance power. I think working with fearless innovators like that would push me creatively and create something unforgettable.
What’s next for you – what do you have planned for the coming weeks?
I’m focused on releasing more music, building visuals, and expanding the world around my sound. I’m also working on performance opportunities and continuing to grow the Star Logo universe creatively. There’s a lot of momentum right now, and I’m excited to keep that energy moving forward.
What’s the best way fans can support what you do?
Streaming the music, sharing it, adding it to playlists, and engaging with me online means everything. When fans connect emotionally with the songs and help spread the word, it really helps me continue creating and pushing boundaries.
