Leading with an eighties electronic groove, heavy rhythm and bass, and falsetto to mighty vocals that shine consistently, Feel Alive is addictively enjoyable as a modern track. The style draws comparisons with the likes of Blinding Lights and Starboy, impressing and connecting with both an emotional and distinct performance, and a production that’s multi-layered and all-consuming as it rolls through the speakers.
Great songwriting and vocals, huge production strength – an easy hit that’s quick to uplift. Feel Alive marks a fine introduction to Apollo Kardia, and it will be interesting to hear where else the music takes things in the coming months – capturing that sense of identity aside from comparisons will be key, but for now, this is a total highlight from the season.
