The Fest Chronicles Podcast, with Jeffrey Jones

-

Introducing an essential indie podcast for the festival fans who like to seek out and explore the lesser known gems of the festival world. The Fest Chronicles Podcast is a unique travel-adventure podcast, hosted by the naturally likable Jeffrey Jones, and featuring interviews from and explorations of some of the world’s most exciting festivals.

Launched in April of this year, The Fest Chronicles Podcast highlights conversations with experts and founders from some of the world’s most interesting and niche festivals. Episodes are up to 45 minutes in length, and present a laid-back, welcoming and inquisitive approach from host Jeffrey Jones, whose respect and appreciation for each festival and guest is always high.

The host leads with his own personal backstory and the reasons for his interest or fascination in each festival, and this approach increasingly lets listeners establish a stronger connection with and trust in Jeffrey as a voice of comfort and information.

Most recently, sitting down with Loris Bog-Off Festival’s Samantha Norris, the podcast delved into the rich history of the Chicken Bog and its roots in Loris, South Carolina. The podcast begins with Jeff’s own explanation of what Bog is – essentially a unique rice dish – and its connection to this unique food festival that’s been running since the eighties; celebrating the very best rice dishes from the region.

The informative video podcast The Fest Chronicles promises insider-perspectives that shine light on the true inner workings and efforts required to create a successful festival, and to draw an audience in such a busy and often divided world.

From music to food, wine, films, arts and pop culture, by way of a plethora of quirky and unorthodox niche topics, The Fest Chronicles Podcast is something of a globe-trotting adventure show, illuminating the ‘vibrant world of festivals’, from the intrigued and interested viewpoint of Jeffrey Jones – a festival fan, and former programming director of the Art, Soul and Technology Festival.

Other highlight episodes include the September release The Houston International Quilt Festival, which not only further bridges the gap between our host Jeffrey and his audience, but introduces a boldly niche festival, which is undoubtedly appealing to the millions of avid quilters around the world. The festival was built up from a small local gathering to a major international event, and this conversation is incredibly insightful and inspiring as to how that progress took place.

Promising a catchy hip-hop theme tune and a laid-back, unedited sense of realism and humanity at the forefront, The Fest Chronicles Podcast has already covered an exclusive list of exciting festivals you’ve likely never heard of, and will no doubt continue to draw attention to a multitude of the world’s many thousands of festivals that are uniquely wonderful and worthy of a visit.
