Faithful Tragedy - Miss You - Stereo Stickman

Faithful Tragedy Miss You

-

Indie progressive rock act Faithful Tragedy encapsulates the emotive implications of its name, with the likes of the brand new acoustic to ambient single Miss You.

Featuring an intricate balancing of organic guitar and lightly programmed strings, Miss You follows a classically gritty, characterful leading voice, through an indie outpouring of repetitions relating to this idea of ‘I’ll Miss You’.

The song gathers intriguing momentum, almost feeling like a freestyle explosion of feelings and longing, as various hand rhythms and electric guitar fragments weave into the mix to aptly reinforce the passion and desperation at its core.

Somewhat akin to the likes of the indie rock emergence of two decades ago, the vocal lead for this Faithful Tragedy single feels mildly reminiscent of Pete Doherty, a kind of tired, dreary but evocative and delicate approach, with just enough grit to feel genuinely consumed by this sense of missing someone.

Meanwhile, the soundscape evolves in a fascinating way, organic and raw to a degree, but atmosphere and ambient alongside this – giving the Faithful Tragedy sound a distinct edge of its own. This quality stands tall throughout the 2024 EP Winters, from which this track was taken, and the more you listen, the more enchanting, artistically vast, and thought-provoking the music proves to be.
