Nadav Ettlinger T.n.s beautiful people of may

-

Israel-based producer and songwriter Nadav Ettlinger carves out a raw melodic and distorted lane as a contemporary creative.

T.n.s beautiful people of may finds its pace quickly, showcasing a strong understanding of groove and contrast from a musical perspective – blending aspects of rock-ready electric guitar with high-octane dance rhythms and a kind of floor-filler energy.

Then there’s the vocal, canned and retro by the nature of its old-school mic sound, the lyrics as such undetectable, but the melody follows the changing stages of the music with purpose.

T.n.s beautiful people of may plays on for a whopping eight minutes, striving to maintain its essence as something of a freestyle for Ettlinger – an unlimited outpouring of ideas and melodic fragments that rise and fall on top of this relentless soundscape and beat. Every once in a while the music falls away for a moment of contrast, but things soon explode back into life afterwards.

From EDM to pure indie alternative rock, Ettlinger keeps things chaotic and versatile, always with this hazy or muggy mix that feels decidedly nostalgic.

This time we’re in a fully-loaded grunge arena of sound, the voice more humbly mixed for a true nineties alterative vibe, which sounds much more inviting and delicate. Vocal adlibs further the humanity and heart of the style – gone jail offering a story and sense of emotion that’s both uplifting and heartbroken all at once.

Yet again the music lives on without concern, this time racking up an immense ten-minutes of playtime, with little to no structural shifts throughout. The voice changes patterns though, lyrics become simple melodies, and all the while, the electric guitar runs parallel to all of this – an extensive solo that increasingly proves a crucial part of the Nadav Ettlinger approach to modern music.
