Mark Vickness’ journey has been one of unique struggles and successes combined, progressing from enforced music lessons and no real loving connection to the artform, to adopting a sheer and unadulterated infatuation with the escapism and skill of musicianship in all of its forms. The diverse energy and intricacies of I Will Find My Way speak volumes on behalf of that journey, and in the process offer a string of original compositions, which naturally embrace and reward listeners with the freedom and calm of finely crafted music.
Some highlights include the summertime shuffle and soulful jazz serenity of a catchy More Hot Apple Stuff, the divine delicacy and meditative presence of Cloud Shadows Revisited, and the raw folk rhythm, ambiance, and deeply evocative melody, of the closing track In The Rain Shadow Revisited.
