LJ was born in Rwanda, he spent several years in Zimbabwe and Namibia, and ultimately moved over to Brazil. He met established and internationally touring artist Carmolina in Costa Rica, where the two bonded over their affinity for afro fusion music and expressive vocal play, and in the process wrote and recorded the infectious anthem Adrenalina Y EI Camillero.
