Respectably taking their time to build up the soundscape, creative duo Sirius Lyrae fully embrace the process throughout a uniquely colourful, dreamy and intentional FxL.
For the first minute of the track we get a gentle vocal lead amidst a warming wash of synths – delicate on both counts, keeping your focus on this dance-pop melody and the breathy, nearly whispered sentiments of the writing.
Soon enough, the click of a rhythm evolves to see things brighten up and energise – the layers drop into place, a sense of rising anticipation grows and grows, and the vocal reaches its softly passionate peaks to make room for the euphoric ambiance that follows.
Familiar in style for its EDM properties but also notably loaded with character traits that keep things interesting, FxL makes for a somewhat more minimal, appealing alternative dance tack, with an emotive, romantic undertone that furthers the embrace of its escapism.
