Featuring short lines with a male lead and female echo throughout the verses, Pull Together feels like a timeless pop-funk offering with a twist of emotion or gentle soul. The lyrics work beautifully in favour of this, focusing on optimism, a brighter tomorrow in which unity and togetherness stand tall.
Subtle yet effective, rising towards RnB during the latter half as the vocals switch places for a female lead, Pull Together makes fine use of its near four minute thirty lifespan. There are calling cards throughout, the tone and melody, the hook, helping give the track identity – amidst this though is a clear progression that holds attention well.
An inspiring new single, with a timeless air of yesteryear about it that’s comforting in its minimalism and production.
