Theatrics and vocal inflections alike pour through as per the changing stages of Wish I Had An Angel. Stylishly blending the emotive delicacy of opera with the utter roar and distortion of metal, BehindTheHorror more than meet the requirements of such an epic song as this.
It’s a fun take on the track, but it’s also a fitting and impressive one – laying bare both the sound of the band and their undeniable love for those who paved the way before them. The latter half in particular sees things venture off into incredibly skilful realms. The singer shows no fear, leaning wholly into the experience, and the results work well.
