Following the release of his single Report To The Dance Floor, we caught an interview with artist and producer ChudaBeat to find out more about his musical journey so far. Here’s how it went.

Hey – thanks for the interview! For those who don’t know, how would you describe your approach to making to music?
I grew up listening to 70’s & 80’s R&B, funk, and disco, and I guess I subconsciously incorporate those elements into my music.
What can you tell us about Report to the Dance Floor – what do you hope people take away from the track?
I want people to have a good time, and forget about the stress of everyday life for a while – me and my manager like to call it Feel Good Music.
Is there a longer project on the way?
I plan on releasing a bunch of singles, and remixes this year.
What sort of creative and professional steps will you be taking throughout 2019 in order to build your career as an artist?
I have a couple of cover songs of some 80’s and 90’s R&B classics coming out with a new tropical house music feel.
Who inspires you in the creative world?
Michael Jackson – definitely Michael Jackson.
What’s the most challenging part of trying to make a name for yourself in music?
Well this is “music business”, I love the music part, but I hate the business part – it slows down the creative process, but it’s absolutely essential. Without the business part nobody will hear your music other than your family and friends.
What’s one piece of advice you could give to bedroom producers who want to start venturing out into the industry?
You will never get anywhere if you don’t practice to become ten times better than the competition.
Is there anything else we should know?
Never give up on your dreams. I’m handicapped, confined to a wheelchair and a breathing ventilator, but by the grace of Christ I’m fulfilling my dream of being a dance music producer.
