“Are we gonna let the world go by, looking through windows of other people’s lives?”
Please let the answer to that question be no…
A beautiful new anthem, a pop-rock classic with live musicianship and lush indie harmonies. Steve Savona and Realistic Maze present a colourful and uplifting ode to the value of real life outside of the digital traps of the modern era, with the wonderful single Scroll It.
Featuring a strong vocal dynamic and a gorgeously nostalgic, garage-rock recording style, the songwriting here blends melody and relatable subject matter in a manner that’s both catchy and thought provoking.
How long did you spend scrolling this morning before you willed yourself into action? How many other people’s lives did you glance at and waste time observing – people you’ll never connect with in real life?
Scroll It is a colourful reminder to get out there. It’s a musical ode to simpler times, with a euphoric anthem of a hook that sees “Live as you wanna live” resound and repeat, and the lingering concept of “Don’t scroll it all away” providing a powerful dose of realism and self-awareness.
Time is fleeting, and despite the comfort and dopamine boost they might bring in the moment, our screens are no more meaningful to our journeys than wasting the days away in front of reality TV. Go make the most of your time on Earth.
