Anthemic rock and roll with a mainstream twist of harmony, passion, power, and catchy songwriting. The sublime rasp and soulful vocal of Joe Osgood front the immersive indie rock sound of Joe Osgood & The Fathers Of Light, as the stunning All You Good People introduces their brand new album Songs From The Sun.
A perfectly titled project, this is feel-good rock songwriting akin to the likes of The Verve and The War On Drugs – sometimes deeply evocative, but always emotionally uplifting, engaging; the kind of passion and melody and groove you can both cry to and celebrate.
Guitar-driven songs well-written and gorgeously performed, Songs From The Sun feels like a best-of collection, from a band who’ve somewhat slipped underneath the radar until recently. The band are far from strangers to the scene though, and their experience, passion and natural talent shines with unignorable brightness, throughout the 11 timeless songs of this album.
