Yorel Crossroads 2 (Feat. Krayzie Bone & Justin J Moore)

-

Leading with a soulful, ambient backdrop and a mellow, intimate vocal style, Queens NY artist Yorel takes on the heartbreak of losing a loved one for this deeply personal new single Crossroads 2.

Setting the mood with ease, the soundscape offers a simple few piano notes, and a laid-back beat with a classic feel yet a contemporary finish production-wise. On top of this, every featured vocalist adds their own subtle sense of character to the process, whilst also naturally adhering to the underlying mood and intentions of the song – not least of all the one an only Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.

From a gorgeously soulful melodic hook, beautifully performed for a moment of real unity and heartache, to rap vocals that detail the story-lines from their own lives – effectively bringing together that which is undeniably personal, and that which is a little more vague and all-inclusive – the inevitability of death, and the pain it brings; as well as the learning.

Yorel holds attention all the more so during the track’s final verse, reflecting on the very concept of life as opposed to the memories and intricacies of his journey from earlier. It’s a powerful way to round up the experience, and meanwhile these blissful vocals call out in a hopeful and inspiring way; and the song finishes up on this same bright and optimistic note.

Beautiful, from the heart and gorgeously performed and presented.
