What Can I Get For You? Love reflects with colourful indie rock and pop charm, on the process of serving pints in a bar – surrounded by friends you’ve never met. It’s a quirky, provocative, and distinct sound from the outset, but as things progress, Visa Anxiety genuinely start to engage and impress.
Their originality as a band meets carefully with a clear sense of nostalgia and realness on the songwriting front, and that balancing of qualities is crucial to letting a new act reach out and take command with some new part of our desired escapism.
Visa Anxiety are perhaps unexpectedly cool, somewhat quiet and uncertain, but ultimately uplifting in their careful contrasting of tentativeness and confidence. The band are playfully honest, interesting, and creatively rooted amidst the sounds that get things moving towards the end of a long week. I look forward to hearing more.
