The Supreme General The GOD Album: Rebirth!!!

-

The intensity of hard-hitting, passionate rap bars, confidence, and colourful, creative production, all perfectly combined for an anthemic explosion of purpose. The Supreme General kicks off his fiercely artistic and gripping new album, with the boldly impressive set-up, structure and substance of The Introduction!!!

The GOD Album: Rebirth goes on to feature 12 original new tracks, and we move from the weight and swagger, the darkness and grit of The Introduction!!!, into the gospel depth and poetry of Forgiveness!!!, as if sifting through the chapters of a timeless and creative new story.

The Supreme General aims high and lives up to the power and presence of his name, with creatively juxtaposed production, melodies, versatile flows, sharp bars, and plenty of intention to the subject matter. His focus is unrivalled, along with the distinct nature of his voice and beats, and those qualities draw rightful attention to the prowess and meaning of this album.

Self-righteous to the core but compelling and deserving at the same time, The Supreme General gets performative and playful, whilst holding close to the intensity, the urgency of his sound, in crafting a playlist that’s nostalgic but raw, gritty, and loaded with game. I’m the GOD!!! is the perfect example, and is classically catchy as The Supreme General holds absolutely nothing back on the mic.

Then to showcase the talent of writing, the lyrical reasoning and sharp wit required to overcome being labelled as simply performative, 40 Bars is an instant highlight, and refreshingly modest, low-volume, committed, as the third track on the album. With live videos to match and plenty of high-quality content to help push these tracks, The Supreme General has covered all bases for The GOD Album: Rebirth, and his conviction and identity as a modern rapper is unquestionable.

From Who You Fuckin Wit through I Ain’t Playin’, we get up close and personal with the savage swagger and scathe of the artist, the empowering self-confidence that motivates and uplifts. That’s what this album is at its core, not one man celebrating his own journey, but a shared concept designed to help drive you towards reaching the peak moments of yours.

Then to keep things interesting and versatile, tracks like Tales from the bottom of my Henny bottle add something soulful and melodic – an essential change of pace that’s calming, contemplative, clever, and easy to relax to. This is followed by Engaging escapades, a song that hits with warm and relevant impact, thanks to its whispered demeaner and careful placement within a thoughtful section of The GOD Album: Rebirth. We learn more about the story, connect more with our protagonist, and feel the meaning of the words, the sentiments behind it all; where this confidence came from, and how much it truly means to The Supreme General.

Songwriting peaks for the industrial weight and intelligent framing of ideas that is A Supreme Crisis, a definite highlight but for completely fresh reasons – something intense and focused, fearlessly unique, and worth listening to more than a few times over.

More grit and theatrics raise up the darker anthemic confidence of From Beginning To End, while Here for my RESPECT brings something quietly captivating, as The Supreme General struts his stuff with unexpectedly heartfelt realism and unfiltered, ferociously fast bars. Another stand-out that needs a little time to connect for the sheer density of detail in the bars.

Finally, production play culminates for a warped-retro bassline and echoing darker realm, as You Know That injects one last anthem of old-school street rap and style into an unrelenting indie project. The Supreme General wraps things up in the same way they began – with boldness, performance, presence, and though a quieter take, this closing track reminds us of the name and unchanging self-empowerment that is The GOD Album: Rebirth.
